Our method generates fabricable 3D wire art using various types of inputs such as text. The fabrication of wire art is guided by 3D-printed jigs.

Abstract

We computationally create fabricable 3D wire sculptures from various input modalities, including 3D models, images, and texts. Our curve design algorithm automatically abstracts the various inputs using a pre-trained vision-language model and ensures fabricability using geometrical constraints. 3D-printable jigs are also computationally generated to fabricate the design by bending wires.
